The farmers who are protesting for the purchase of paddy in Punjab and Haryana have got a big relief. The date of procurement of paddy has again been changed to October 3. Paddy will be procured in both the states from tomorrow.. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar met Union Minister Ashwini Choubey in this regard, after which he announced the date of procurement of paddy from October 3.In fact, due to the delay in monsoon, the procurement of paddy was postponed till October 11 in both the states. Earlier it was supposed to be from October 1.
Due to this, the farmers got angry and demonstrated in large numbers in Punjab-Haryana. Farmers are already agitating against all the three agricultural laws of the central government, after which they also started protesting on paddy purchase.Talking to the media regarding the date of paddy procurement, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said, "Due to the delay in monsoon, the central government had postponed the date of procurement of paddy and bajra till October 11.

Therefore, he urged the Union Minister Choubey to start the procurement of paddy soon.
