filling a vacancy left by Baby Rani Maurya's departure.Lt Gen Singh, a graduate of the Defence Services Staff Course and the National Defence College, has earned two M.Phils from the universities of Chennai and Indore, as well as working as a research scholar on the India-China Boundary Issue at the Institute of Chinese Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University during his study leave from the Indian Army.
President Ram Nath Kovind also ordered the reshuffle of governors in a number of states, including the transfer of Banwarilal Purohit from Tamil Nadu to Punjab.
