Private School Students
Haryana Government asked private schools to upload the enrolment of students in their schools. This was ordered as over 12 lakh data of students are missing. Schools have to upload the details of the students in the MIS portal provided by the Education Department. This is necessary to calculate the number of literacy and dropouts per year.
This MIS (Management Information System) is used to provide accurate details of students’ enrolment for their further examinations in the future. It is noted that 29 lakh students were admitted in private schools all across the state, while only 17 lakh student’s details have been uploaded on MIS while others remain missing in Last year. This statement was released on Monday.
The MIS of the education department covers details of all students enrolled in the government as well as private schools in their database. This is used to monitor the admissions through a Unique SRN (Student Registration Number) which is given to each student.
Education Minister Kanwar Pal gave orders to the private school to update the information of students in MIS and he also said that if not followed there will be strict action taken against the management of private schools.
