Priyanka Gandhi advises Yogi to recognize the seriousness of the situation in UP.
On Sunday, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra asked the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Adityanath Yogi to understand and recognize the need and seriousness of the situation as she claims that the whole state has been experiencing a shortage of oxygen supply. The Congress General Secretary claimed of 'Oxygen Emergency' in Uttar Pradesh and further advised Yogi to start working immediately to save people's lives.
Earlier, when such rumors started flying in the air, Yogi dismissed them as false claims, thereby stating that properties of people who will indulge in spreading false rumors regarding oxygen shortage will get confiscated. When Yogi declared this to be a false claim, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra reacted against his warning and tweeted, "Chief Minister, there is oxygen emergency all over Uttar Pradesh. You have to put a case on me, seize the property, so do. But for the sake of god, recognize the seriousness of the situation and immediately start the work of saving the lives of the people."
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister stated earlier that the State Government had placed an order for One crore vaccines for the third phase of the vaccination drive to get started from May 1 onwards. He informed the citizens through his Twitter handle that read, "Uttar Pradesh government has placed an order for one crore doses of anti-Covid vaccines for the vaccination drive beginning May 1. An order of 50-50 lakh doses has been placed for both indigenous vaccine manufacturers. Also, the dose will be made available by the Government of India. A comprehensive action plan is being prepared in this regard".
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister has asked all the hospitals dealing with the treatment of Covid – 19 patients to release the details regarding the availability of beds in the public domain twice a day to access the information easily.
