Rahul Gandhi emphasizes ‘Jan ki Baat’ as the system has ‘failed.’
The lethal effect that the country is currently going through is well known to all the citizens. From patients yearning to get an additional oxygen cylinder as the support to their lungs to people craving hospital beds for getting proper treatment, India has been hit at its worst in the second wave of coronavirus pandemic.
With markets and hospitals running out of Remdesivir injections, with several states claiming to have only limited stock of Covid – 19 vaccines, the ‘failure’ of the system can be well depicted.
Amid the critical ongoing situation, Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress Party, alleged that the ‘System has failed’ and claims it as a duty of providing help and aid to the citizens suffering due to the pandemic. The comments from the opposition party came after Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his ‘Mann ki Baat’ (a radio program) claimed that the storming effects of the second wave of novel coronavirus has shaken the country at its worst and gave the assurance to people that the Central Government was working relentlessly around the clock to assist the states.
Rahul Gandhi tweeted, “System failed, so it’s important to do ‘Jan ki Baat.’ In this crisis, the country needs responsible citizens. I request my Congress colleagues to leave all political work – provide all help and ease the pain our countrymen”.
India has been recording the highest ever-day spike, each day surpassing the highest daily spike of the previous day consecutively. The number of positive cases along with the death tolls are mounting, reaching heights.
