Ravindra Pal Singh, 1980 Olympic hockey gold medalist, passes away
Ravindra Pal Singh passed away at 62 early on Saturday morning. He was a member of the gold-winning team in the 1980 Moscow Olympic Games.
He had recovered from COVID-19. But reported breathing troubles. He was shifted to an oxygen bed after his recovery. His condition deteriorated on Friday, and he was shifted to ICU under ventilation. He passed away on Saturday.
"We changed a few hospitals for him, as in the other private hospitals, even the doctors were careless, and they didn't provide him proper care. Finally, we admitted him to Vivekananda Polyclinic, which we trusted," said a member of Singh's family.
