Markets controller SEBI is examining changes in the IPO standards, particularly on the book building, fixed value viewpoints and certain arrangements relating to value band, its Chief Ajay Tyagi said on Wednesday.
Aside from the initial public offer (IPO), the controller is investigating further changes on the special issue front, Tyagi said at the FICCI's yearly Capital Market Conference.He further said that the emphasis on survey of value raising support standards will proceed soon.
"We have a few other proposals in the pipeline that are in the early discussion stage - IPO reforms on the book building and fixed price framework and provisions relating to price band and further reforms on preferential issue- being some of them," Tyagi said.
He said that SEBI has rolled out a few significant improvements especially to the structure for rights issue and preferential issue over the most recent two years.
The SEBI Chairman said the structure for the base public shareholding has been reexamined to make it simpler for huge organizations to dispatch IPOs.
