Natarajan Covid positive
The 2021 Indian Premier League (IPL) match between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Delhi Capitals (DC) is going as planned, although SRH T Natarajan has tested positive for COVID-19 in the scheduled RT-PCR test. The player isolated himself from the rest of the team. He is currently asymptomatic.
According to a media recommendation from the IPL, the medical team identified six contacts close to the player who were also separated:
1. Vijay Shankar - player
2. Vijay Kumar - team manager
3. Shyam Sundar J - Physiotherapist
4. Anjana Vannan - Doctor
5. Tushar Khedkar - logistics manager
6. Periyasamy Ganesan - Players only
The entire Sunrisers contingent, including close contacts, were subjected to RT-PCR testing at 5 a.m. local time on Wednesday and the test reports were negative, the statement said.This is the first COVID-19 warning for the return of IPL 2021, resumed Sunday after its ban by several teams in May following the COVID-19 epidemic.
