Santosh Gangwar writes to CM, Yogi Adityanath, highlighting the COVID mismanagement in Uttar Pradesh.
Santosh Gangwar, the Union Minister of State for labor and employment, wrote to the CM on Thursday complaining about the delay in COVID patient admission in hospitals, mismanagement of medical facilities, and black marketing of medical equipment and ventilators in his Lok Sabha constituency, Bareilly.
“I request you to fix the rates of these equipment on behalf of the government and that MSME registered private hospitals should be given a discount,” he said in the letter. He told the multipara monitor, BiPAP machine, and the ventilator were being black marketed and sold at 1.5 times higher than the original price. On Saturday, Adityanath visited Bareilly and took stock of the COVID facilities in the district.
The day after the letter was sent, it went viral on social media; Dr. Sudhir Kumar Garg, the chief medical officer, asked the health officials of the district to be mindful of the issues raised by the MOS.
