More than twenty four adults are suspected to have been dead after drinking spurious liquor at Gopalganj and west Champaran districts of Bihar.The police have also suspected that many more are seriously ill but are afraid of coming out of their hidings of getting caught. The officer in charge told the media,'We have found strains of illegal liquor and also found the people who have been "KILLED".
The police traced right persons who have died, on Thursday, drinking hooch in Telhua village at Bettiah. It is the headquarters of the West Champaran district. Moreover, the count on yet another district, an incident of drinking conspicuous liquor in Gopalganj started rising high. By late that night, the graph increased to sixteen.
Gopalganj senior police officer Anand Kumar said to the media,'Some peoy have died under mysterious circumstances in Mahmudpur village in the district in te last two days. The cause of their death cannot be confirmed since autopsy reports are still awaited. Three teams are probing the case.

When we spoke to the villagers, they informed us,'Four persons died on Thursday when they were undergoing treatment. Another two villagers died in hospital.'
Primarily, the villagers are suspected to die due to consuming some poisonous substances. The local police have also filled a case. Moreover, four people have been arrested in connection with the incident. The whole incident took place on Tuesday and Wednesday, during the festival was at high stakes, the police said.
The deads of West Champaran are residents of wards 2,3 and 4 of Talhua village. The district officials are yet to mark their deaths officially.
After this incident, Nitish Kumar also added,'We introduced prohibition in the state since alcohol is a dirty thing. The ill-effects of liquor get multiplied when consumed in an adulterate form. I know that majority of the common mass are in favour of the liquor ban in the state. There are only a handful of people who violate it."
