The Madhya Pradesh government has announced the unlocking of the state from June 1 as the Covid-19 cases are under control in the state.
The unlock will be done in a phased manner and few restrictions will be lifted from 1st june. Guidelines related to unlock 1 will be released soon by the government.
Madhya Pradesh recorded less than 5000 cases in the past 3 days and the rate of positive cases reached 5% mark.
"We are in a position to control the Covid-19 infection. Yesterday 82,000 samples were tested in the state out of which around 3000 new Covid-19 cases were reported and over 9,000 patients recovered from the disease. Now the positivity rate is below 5 per cent and the recovery rate is above 90 percent," said CM Chouhan.
" Cannot keep the state locked forever, will have to lift restrictions in few days in a phased manner." the Madhya Pradesh CM said.
