Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani in the lead role "Shershaah" touched hearts and made them cry with the brave story of Captain Vikram Batra. Months after its OTT release, the film struggled to use anyone else's license plate. Faraz Ashraf, a journalist from Kashmir, reportedly said her life was in danger because Shershaah's creators used her car's license plate and described it as a vehicle driven by militants. He shared photos of his car and the car used in the film with the same license plate and said it poses a threat to him and his family.
“It is a threat to me and my family. I cannot travel in the car as feel safety concerns now due to the move. I have not given any permission to any production house to use the regd no. of my car. I now decided to fight against the @DharmaMovies @DharmaTwoPointO to stop the broadcast of movies in the entire country. As they have copied my car reg no. and used it in the movie. I am filing a case against the production house,” the journalist shared on Twitter.
'Shershaah' is directed by Vishnuvardhan and supported by Dharma Productions by Karan Johar. The film told the brave story of Captain Vikram Batra PVC.
Kiara Advani, who played Vikram Batra's lover in the war drama Dimple Cheema, announced that she met Dimple before starting the film. About their meeting, Kiara said: “She gave me an insight into her mind and her heart which then helped me emote better on screen. It was Vishal Batra, Captain Vikram Batra’s twin brother, who helped us meet each other. I wanted to understand her closely and emulate her as close to reality as I could. We incorporated Punjabi dialogues because she is from Punjab. It was an overwhelming and emotional experience for me to play Dimple.”
