DELHI, NEW DELHI: The Indian intelligence establishment and Delhi Police's special cell apprehended six alleged terror operatives in an extensive multi-state operation, foiling a nefarious plan concocted by Pakistan espionage agency ISI and 'D Company' to carry out serial bombings and target assassinations across numerous cities.
Police seized IEDs carrying RDX, grenades, Beretta pistols, and ammo that had been stockpiled for attacks on huge crowds during the approaching festivals, according to Delhi's anti-terror unit commander, Pramod Kushwaha. Ibrahim's thugs first transported them to Muscat, then transported them to Pakistan via sea. During this time, they were investigated by many agencies.Multiple IEDs had been planned from sources across the border, and they were nearing completion when the agencies swooped down on them, saving dozens of lives.
The chief handler and D Company henchman, Jaan Mohammed Sheikh alias Sameer Kaliya (47), a resident of Mumbai's Social Nagar, was the first to be apprehended. On his route to Delhi, he was kidnapped off a running train at Kota, Rajasthan.
