Sourav Ganguly and Virender Sehwag on KBC 13
KBC 13 episode with the two game legends, Sourav Ganguly and Virender Sehwag was a must-see since they provided a few never-before-told stories from the Indian locker room. BCCI president Ganguly, who conducts a TV show, took over as presenter of KBC 13 for a few minutes and asked Amitabh Bachchan a few questions.
During the first seven questions, the former India captain and vice-captain did not use a lifeline. They required assistance after that and had exhausted all of their options by the time they won the Rs 25 lakh prize. They were able to answer the Rs 25 lakh question without any assistance.
Surprisingly, neither of the two former players had heard of the batsman who had been removed by MS Dhoni during his international career. To answer the question, they had to rely on the 50-50 lifeline.
Travis Downlin, who Dhoni dismissed in the 2009 ICC Champions Trophy, was the correct response. Although Ganguly had retired from international cricket by that time, Sehwag was unable to participate in the ICC event owing to injury.
Ganguly and Sehwag also discussed mental health throughout the broadcast. Ganguly talked about how important it is and how difficult it has been for the players to live in bio-bubbles.
Speaking in English was a mental strain for Sehwag in his early days, he admitted. He was able to heal after learning English. The former India opener expressed his pride in speaking in his home tongue wherever he goes.
