BankShall Session court on Monday evening granted bail to 4 TMC leader Hoover
detained by CBI in the Narmada bribery case. The four TMC leaders included West
Bengal ministers firhad Hakim and subrata mukherjee, TMC MLA Madan Mitra and
former Kolkata mayor sovan chattopadhyay. After the earliest TMC activist revolted in
the city by not abiding the lock down restrictions, chief minister Mamata Banerjee went
to the CBI office and “told our officers that they have to arrest her if they want her to
leave Nizam Palace, ” according to a CBI official's statement. Mumta's interference in
the probe has resulted in transfer of the case to Calcutta high court to take action about
her interference in the agency's work. TMC workers vandalised properties at the Nizam
palace office of CBI and shouted slogans against the Union home minister and prime
minister and took violent steps against the guards in the office premises.
