First Death Confirmed reported in Tamil Nadu from Covid_19 delta Plus Variant

According to the state health department, Tamilnadu had reported the it's first death due to the Delta plus variant of sars- cov-2 after a patient from Madurai got affected by the infection.
The more virulent version AY. 1 is also called Delta plus. Is a variant of Delta, which causes an effect on the immunity, which is gained by vaccines or naturally.
Minister of medical and family welfare of Tamil Nadu, subramanian,on Saturday said that two of three identified cases of new ' Delta plus variant ' have recovered. The two recovered patients are from Kanchipuram district and the other individual is a nurse from Chennai with an age of 32 years old.
Subramanian said that “After the death of the Madurai patient, it was confirmed as Delta plus variant after taking samples, '' he said.
However, the people who contacted them are tested negative.
