Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Taylor Swift has given fans a new take on her fifth studio album, 1989 (2014) "Wildest Dreams". Taylor shared the link to the newly recorded song on her Instagram story, writing: "Hi! Saw you guys got Wildest Dreams trending on tiktok, thought you should have my version." on her social media.
"Wildest Dreams" is growing in popularity on TikTok because it is tied to a "slow zoom" filter for the service. The release of the single surprised fans when they released their newest album, a re-recording of their 2012 album "Red" on the 19th, '1989'. Inspired by his fans trending the song on TikTok. Swift posted a clip on TikTok with the new version of "Wildest Dreams" entitled: "Someone said slow zoom makes you look like the main character I said make it Taylor's Version pls."
Two hours later, she posted another video of the re-recording with text on the screen, "You set a date in November with Red but then someone mentions 1989," referencing her two different albums.
In its original release seven years ago, "Wildest Dreams" reached number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 1 on the Mainstream Top 40 and Adult Top 40, People magazine reported. Swift is currently re-recording their first six albums after Scooter Braun bought his old Big Machine label, which allowed him to pilot the Masters. In November, he sold the Masters to Shamrock Holdings for $300 million.
