For the second time, since 2019, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrates the auspicious festival, Diwali, with the men at borders. Since he took the oath of the post, it has become one of his yearly routines to have a chat and share sweets with the soldiers. Today, he visited army troops in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri District. Addressing the soldiers, he said,'You are the "SURAKSHA KAWACH" of the nation. Ma Bharati is always proud of you. It is because of you all that the people of our country can sleep peacefully and there is happiness during festivals.'
Personally distributing sweets, he added,'In the surgical strike your contribution will always be remembered by the country. I was waiting anxiously for the call, and did not want anyone to be left behind. But you came out as winners. Even after the strikes, attempts were made to disturb the peace here.'
The Prime Minister visited the troops,. Distributed sweets among the soldiers and also appreciated their sacrifice, especially during the festival seasons. Before Narendra Modi arrived, to make sure the visit was under tight security, Army Chief General M M Naravane arrived in Jammu the day before and personally scrutinized the locations. There have been some violence at the borders in recent times. Especially, the twin border districts of Poonch and Rajouri are hot examples. The army were currently engaged in an anti - terrorism operations in Poonch - Rajouri forest areas. These areas arew still hot since last month. There could have been attacks on the Prime Minister. Hence, security had to be tightened.
'India must enhance its military capabilities in line with the changing World and modes of war', he added,'We are one of the fastest developing nations. The time is not too far when everyone will call us as one DEVELOPED NATION. If that is our dream, the first step to such advancement is the upgradation of our Jawaans. If the territory is healthy, then inner elements can also be upgraded fast', it seems that the Indian Prime Minister is very proud to say this.
