To celebrate Ook's remarkable accomplishments at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and the ongoing Paralympic Games, Mahindra and Mahindra have announced that their XUV700 Javelin Edition Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) will be offered to all gold medalists.
The announcement came on August 30th, when Mahindra and Mahindra Group chairman Anand Mahindra took to Twitter to praise Paralympic athlete Sumit Anil's accomplishments.
He wrote: “An awesome sporting feat. Without exception. His performance demands an XUV 7OO. India now has TWO Golds in this ancient sport. Please design another Javelin edition of the XUV 7OO that we will be privileged to gift this incredible sportsperson.”
India won gold at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and has won four Paralympic Games gold so far. While Neeraj Chopra won the first gold medal in this year's men's javelin final, Pramod Bhagat won gold in badminton (Paralympic Games), Avani Lekhara in the women's 10m air rifle, Sumit Antil in the F64 and the javelin for Manish Shooting Narwhal in the 50m mixed SH1. firearm.
Mahindra recently registered the name "Javelin" for special editions of the XUV700 SUV. The first copy of the special model goes to Neeraj Chopra.
