Tourism will be promoted in a village on the Indo-Nepal border.

A forest official said on Thursday that a Tharu tribe-dominated village near the Indo-Nepal border should be created as a touristic destination under the Uttar Pradesh government's "One District, One Eco Tourism Spot" plan. According to Manish Singh, Bahraich Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), environmental tourist facilities are now being established in regions and forest subdivisions to boost tourism under the plan.

According to the DFO, an environmentally friendly centre is indeed functioning in the Katarniaghat Forest Division, but there was nothing there in Bahraich, therefore Balaigaon village, which is controlled by the Tharu tribe, was chosen.Tourism facilities can also be created without clearing forests in certain zones where there are no trees. According to him, hyenas, leopards, wild boars, and tigers live in the beautiful woodland region.

According to the DFO, Tharu tribals continue to follow their traditional customs and practises, with the primary goal of improving the area being to draw Nepalese visitors.According to Singh, roads, lodging, and other required amenities are being built in accordance with the policy framework in order to promote tourism. In the green belt, a nature walks route and a tourist park will be created. Ponds will be built in the region to attract Siberian birds.“The construction of the road on the border has started under the Indo Nepal Border Road Project. "Since the lifestyle of the village is similar to that of Nepalis, our main goal is to attract Nepalese tourists," he said. The government intends to invest two crores in the initiative in the very first step. A 10-kilometer safari trail, four Tharu huts, and four small concrete jungle safari vehicles with qualified guides and drivers would be available at the environmentally friendly complex.
