UK strain of Covid-19 found in Rajasthan: State government
The samples sent from Rajasthan for genome sequencing has been detected by the UK strain of Covid-19, according to the reports on Wednesday.
Raghu Sharma, The Health Minister of the state, said that the reports were received some days before.
He said, “We had sent samples for genome sequencing. In the samples, a UK strain was found.” According to the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, the officials in Rajasthan have started forming the process of settling the testing the genome sequencing facility at the Swati Man Singh(SMS) Medical College situated in Jaipur.
The Chief Minister said that “Once we know about the strain and other details, the line of treatment may be updated accordingly.”
The number of active cases of Covid-19 in Rajasthan has reached to two Lakh with 5,994 total number of deaths from this viral disease. The total number of cases reported accounts for 7,84,274.
