Vaani Kapoor celebrates her 33rd birthday by talking about her forthcoming flicks

Vaani Kapoor turns 33

Happy Birthday: Vaani Kapoor, celebrated her 33rd birthday on Monday, expressed her excitement for the year ahead.

The Bollywood diva, who stars with Ranbir Kapoor in 'Shamshera' and Ayushmann Khurrana in 'Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui,' expressed her hope that these films will place her 'properly' as a performer in the industry.

Vaani remarked, "Actually, I have an amazing year ahead of me! My two huge films, Shamshera and Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, are about to hit theatres, and I'm hopeful they will greatly entertain audiences. These two films will also feature me in very different roles, and I'm excited to see how people react to my performances."

The 'Befikre' star revealed that she put in a lot of effort for 'Shamshera' and 'Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui' and is pleased with how they turned out.

"I have been choosy about the films that I select because I want to pick quality content over quantity and I'm proud of both Shamshera and Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui. They are films that will hopefully position me correctly as a performer who is looking to take the risks and push myself constantly to make a mark," the birthday girl posted.

Vaani was last seen with superstar Akshay Kumar in the newly released film 'Bell Bottom.' The spy thriller film, directed by Ranjit M Tewari, also stars Lara Dutta and Huma Qureshi.

In terms of her upcoming films, 'Shamshera,' produced by Yash Raj Films, is described as a 19th-century dacoit drama. It will tell the storey of a dacoit tribe fighting the British for their rights and independence. It will also star Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt, in addition to Vaani.

'Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui,' on the other hand, is a contemporary love storey produced by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series in partnership with Pragya Kapoor's Guy In the Sky Pictures. Vaani and Ayushmann will work together for the first time in this film.
