Sidhu demands arrest of Ashish Mishra in Lakhimpur Kheri case.
On Thursday Navjot Singh Sidhu visited Lakhimpur District. He announces a hunger Strike if the government of Uttar Pradesh fails to arrest the son of the Union Minister . He said that if arrests are not made or strike Ashish Mishra doesn't join the investigation by tomorrow, then I will sit on hunger strike.
The Union Minister completely disagreed with the farmer's statement that his son was sitting in the car at that time. He said that his son was not present at the spot at that time. The Minister claimed that someone else clashed with the farmers when this unfortunate accident had taken place.
Lakhimpur is a city located in lakhimpur kheri district of Uttarpradesh. Nowadays this city is in the spotlight of every news channel . Few days ago a terrible accident happened there. The farmers were run over by an SUV belonging to the son of the Union Minister Ajay Mishra. His son is facing allegations of killing four farmers in Uttar Pradesh's Lakhimpur Kheri district. According to farmers the Union minister's son was sitting in the vehicle which mowed down the farmers, giving rise to such a violent act .
A strong protest is going on against this all over the country. All the political leaders are protesting strictly so that those dead farmers could get justice.
The Supreme Court held its first hearing on Thursday. They asked the Uttar Pradesh government to give a report on how many accused have been arrested in this case. Next hearing will take place on Friday.
