The home screen of Google Duo will be redesigned shortly to include a "New call" option. The redesigned icon is meant to make it even easier to make phone calls. Users would be able to contact their Assistants "Home" device using the "New Call" option. The search feature remains just at top right of the screen in the redesigned main screen UI, but names are shown in a new manner with the “New Call” option. The update will be available to users in the following seasons, according to Google.
In a post on the Google Duo support web page, the new revamped user experience features for Google Duo were introduced. According to the article, this is one of the most important features for Google's video calling programme.
A few previously available functions have also been removed from the new user interface. Users may now "Send messages" by selecting a person or group and then selecting the Message tab. Subscribers may "Create Groups" by tapping the FAB "New Call" button and then hitting the Develop Group link.
Users of Google Duo will just be allowed to “View existing contacts and groups” by browsing for those or using the “New call” FAB. To “Invite contacts,” users must first tap the FAB “New call” and then browse for the person in the search feature or the contact information.
