Iran is suffering from a massive power cut. As days move on, the demand for power in Iran increases. It is announced that Iran will undergo critical changes in the next few days says, The Chief Executive of Tavanir, Mohammad - Hassan Motavalizadeh of Electricity production, Transfer and distribution company of Iran, announced on Sunday.
He warned that Iran needs 4,500 MW of additional power supply daily, just to meet out the rising demands as people use air conditioning to ofter with each degree rise in Iran.
It is noted that Iran is experiencing blackouts and power cuts as the temperature rises every day, causing shortages of power supply in the upcoming months. Especially bigger states suffer from more frequent power cuts and un-scheduled blackouts. Officials warned that this situation will continue during months of summer and will even get worse if the temperature rises.
It is recorded that Iran's daily power consumption is almost 60,000MW, with a shortage of more than 10,000 MW daily. It is also said that due to power cuts the state suffers from other problems as well. It is said that the government should add at least 5,000 MW of electricity capacity each year while it has the capability to boost only 2,000 per year, by a member of parliament.
